Hat trends come and go—we’ve seen baseball hats, newsboy caps, and wide-brim styles increase and decrease in popularity over the last few years. As other hat trends have fallen by the wayside, bucket hats are here to take their place. The sporty, streetwear-inspired trend is an unexpected follow-up to the newsboy cap trend that was everywhere last year and the fashion world is embracing it with open arms.
The trend is all over the street style scene right now, with fashion girls pairing their bucket hats with everything from dresses to sweaters to matching sets. The addition of a bucket hat gives your outfit an edgy twist, especially if you pair it with something more feminine.

One of the most famous bucket hats of the moment is probably the Dior style, though it does fall on the pricier side. There are plenty of contemporary and fast-fashion brands doing more affordable versions, like Brixton, Loeffler Randall, and the original purveyor of the bucket hat, Adidas. Regardless of how much you want to spend on a bucket hat, you can pair it with an outfit as simple as jeans and a t-shirt, or as elaborate as a floor-length gown and it will give your outfit that cool factor instantly.
